For the new year

Just a few unassorted thoughts after the long silence:

• I am playing Ingress now, will write a post about the game design as I see it. The attached picture is from the game.
• I decided to cut back on online games in 2013, so that I can spend enough time on my offline game collection, which has grown significantly in 2012. 
• I am still playing UFO: Afterlight, now getting to a stage when I get glimpses of the endgame. I still think that this game offers a lot, and it's much less known in gaming circles than it should be.
• As for online gaming, I plan to play with GW2, Secret World (which I just bought a week ago) and Vanguard. No big plans in any of them, just having fun.
• Thanks to Syp for organizing the NBI. (Newbie Blogger Initiative) Without his work, this blog would not exist.
• My favourite blog that I started reading because of the NBI is Anjin In Exile. Don't ask me why, it simply is. Also find others in my blogroll.
• I have only one resolution for the new year: I want to do a considerable amount of work on Ninjas & Dragons. I didn't have much time to work on it lately, but I feel the constant nagging in my mind to do it.
